I posted a new gallery of the 52 Panel. Have been driving it for two months and slowly getting the bugs out. It has been dependable for the last month and man I love the air conditioning, even though we have only been in the mid 80's, it sure makes life better. One gallery shows the things as they were done, the other is the "finished" product.
Jim,
Thanks for the comment. Love your fire truck. Are you using in in parades? That is a rolling piece of history. When I was 11 I went to the Marshall, MN firehouse near where we lived and saw their new 55 Ford fire truck. brings back memories seeing you truck.
4tl8ford, I saw your gallery of the 48 Panel. Do you have any idea where I can get the chrome piece that goes between the back door handle and the door? Mine has been crushed and is about 50% gone. Looked in Dennis Carpenter and found the rubber pad but can't find the piece. Carpenter has the whole door handle as well but don't ned that.
Entered the Panel in a charity car show yesterday. I'm told there were around 90 entries. Ol' Blue brought home a top 40 trophy. I'm told by one of the judges we were just barely beat out for best modified truck by a trailer queen. Built the panel to drive and do (about 350 miles a week) so feel pretty good that we are at least competitive. The good news is that it generated 6 good real estate contacts. Mixing work and pleasure can be okay!
