Throttle Postioning Switch

I have an 85 Bronco with a 302 EFI motor in it and the motor doesnt idle well with the A/C on and it doesnt start well in cold weather and have been told that my problem is probably the Throttle Postioning Switch or Valve or whatever it is called Can anyone tell me where this switch is located on my motor and tell me if it is possible to clean the without having to replace it thanks now for any info on this matter

Throttle Postioning Switch

It connect to the butterflys on the air intake.
mine is on the bottom of the throttle body. It will give erratic performance like your having.
mine has a 3 wire harness extends about 6 inches the sensor itself is about the same size and 3-4 quarters stacked you may not see it but you can see the wires. Make sure you order the correct one, they need to know type of transmission you have etc. it has to be installed a certain way too. sorta liek an adjustment.

Also if your going to replace it, i would buy the Air bypass valve, it too would cause the trouble your having and its on the throttle body too, usually on the side.

I had same trouble and air bypass valve fixed it, but then again about 6 months later i has similair trouble an it was the tps.
