Flathead 6 226 Spark plug wire diagram, Help

Ok, So I've searched here, read my truck manual, (maybe I missed something) wouldn't be the first time! Lol as well as searched other places on the web but could not for the life of me find what I needed.
even looking at pictures could not tell for certain.

on my 1951 226 it didn't have any plug wires on it when I got it,
I know the firing order is 1,5,3,6,2,4, but not 100% sure what postion on the distributor to start with # 1 and so on.

on the one diagram I found online it showed (I think a Plymouth straight 6) so this may not be right? but # 1 would have been at about 5 Oclock but from passenger side of engine???

So on the flathead 226 would # 1 on the dist cap be at about the 7 Oclock position if you were standing on drivers side of engine looking at the cap?

just confused because on the plymouth?? diagram I looked at seemed all backwards? I think the distributor was on the passenger side of the example block??

Thanks

Josh

Very True,

I fired this engine up this morning, runs but didn't run it very long, carb needs cleaned and the fuel pump gasket is leaking>

Need to fix those, but have decided to sell it. I need the floor space back. I threw it up on the classifieds here for anyone who may be interested

cheers
