From a landscaper stand point I am not totally sold on the 4 cycle trimmer just yet. However I think the Honda would my choice if 4 cycle is a requirement.

Either is a good choice, from just the sound level the 4 stroke is good, and they do not have the fumes.

i use a cheap 4-stroke in my little lawn service, and i can say that the torques nice... being able to cut through stuff and not be at full throttle all the time. If i where to buy a new one it would be a more costly model, but still not sure if i'd rather mix the gas or change the oil

For me the Toro 4 stroke is good, because I don't have to mix fuel. Eventually most municipalities will ban the 2 stroke stuff, I am ahead of the game.

Finally remembered to come back and state that mine is a Troy Built. It's only on it's second summer, but so far I love it. And changing the oil is a snap. It doesn't even hold that much oil, so it's kinda easy to overfill, but then all ya gotta do is set it on a rag and level surface until it sets it's own level. I think they actually make teeny bottles of crank case oil for them, but I didn't have time to go look. Maybe I'll do that this week when I trot out to Lowe's to get some Quickcrete.

yes two strokers are one the way out, but the improvements in torque, noise and smoke level are wonderful. IMO
