Go down to the 6.0L forum and read. By far the most recommended is the SCT Xcal II with custom tunes from Long Island Performance Diesel (sponsors here). They are actually working on a tune specifically to increase mileage right now and it should be out soon.

One thing stay away from "chips/inline fuel modules" (ie Banks, Edge. Dr.P etc). "Chips/inline fuel modules" are hard on the engine and transmission. You want a "tuner" (SCT XcalII) that completely reprograms the PCM & TCM through the OBDII port.

Like Beerstalker said drop down to the 6.0 forum and read. Tons of information down there on this topic. And yes the SCT XcalII with custom tunes from Matt (PSD 60L Fx4) at LIPD is the tuner of choice for the 6.0.

Hope this helps

The best fuel modulating device currently out there to increase fuel economy is the "Right Foot" by Evolutionary. This modulator has near infinite settings and gives the user complete control over the amount of fuel being delivered to the engine at any RPM above idle. This device is organically fueled, carbon based and uses the principles of "Force", via the long thin pedal on the right of the drivers-side floor board, to regulate the amount of air/fuel being delivered to the engine. Studies have shown, and many happy customers have reported that when this device is used at it's "lowest" or "softest" setting, they have seen a "dramatic" increase in MPG's.

Seriously though, do what Blackhat or Beerstalker mentioned. Since most people buy a tuner for their performance benefits, you may have to read between the lines.

Hey! Thats funny, I got one of them devices. The darn thing got me a, drivin at unsafe speed ticket a couple of weeks ago. Wuz screaming down the road at 45mph in crusise control at 430am with zero traffic. Passed this cop sitting at the coffee shop parking light and two miles later he pulled me over. He said I was going 52 and driving crazy. He looked kinda weird so I said, what ever you say officer and signed on the dotted line. The speed limit on that road was 40mph

That is the thing that is different with the file Matt wrote and I am testing, your right foot really wont have much to do with the equation. Matt is making the tune dicsiplined for you.

Join the club. I often have software-to-hardware interface problems with my Right Foot module. Luckily, my trucks engine is stock, so it's not too bad.

Now what fun is a tune that won't let me be undisciplined?!!!

Well that would be the 15 seconds it takes to swap over UltraComp file, or for working, the tow file.
