recon engine 4.2
just bought a recon motor from advanced auto parts for my 97 f150 i hope its good, looking foward to driving this truck, its in nice shape .i hope their is a lot of people who have hade luck with rebuilt motors for the 97 4.2 everone knows it had had problems thanks for any feed back.........pete

RECON, out of Philly, supplier to Advanced auto parts, is owned by JASPER.
Got a 300ci from them 7 or 8 years ago.
Ran it up past sane levels after the first 3 weeks to see if the motor would hold together or blow before the 1 year warranty was over.
As I said, that was long ago, got one lifter ticking.
