Need HELP with Recon LED taillights

I finally bought led tail lights from Recon. They look good but they have issues. Occasionally they hyperflash!!! It drives me crazy and I want to fix it.

According to the recon website no resistors are needed. But when I called he said I need a resistor.

What can I do? If a resistor, what kind? Where to put it in?

Thank you for helping me out.

They do have resistors and some users with the same truck use them as plug and play and it works.

So should I add resistors still?

I am very bummed.

Thanks Raul.
They worked fine all day today. And the only thing I did not do today is plug my phone in via USB. But that can't be it.

I will call them tomorrow and tell them what happened.

I am interested to see what they say or do. I have looked at Recon for a long time now but have been hesitant on buying from them because there are many posts about poor quality and very poor customer service.

I've had them on a couple of my trucks, and both worked flawlessly. I would not hesitate to buy them again.

Recon will send me resistors to add. That is their solution. Which doesn't explain why it works occasionally and with no problem with other people.

Can the trucks have their flashers changed out for solid state LED flashers instead of the mechanical flashers that cause this hyper flash issue? I know that's a recommendation for alot of vehicles, and a much better one than adding resistors (which should always be last resort).

I was told there is no flasher in the new F-150's. Who can confirm that?

And it was blinking fine for 4 days and started back up hyperflashing yesterday.

Not all the time and sometimes it flashes fast normal normal fast normal fast fast fast....

So they are sending resistors, still no reason why. If you find out, please pass that along, curious to know.
