I will be phoning in my bid, but if I get it, I will be making quick trip to Saskatoon. I don't think SGI delivers. Anyways migh be a good excuse for a meet.

Did you manage to snag it Colin?

1200 isnt too too bad. It sounded like it was in decent shape by what you described it too.

I was just checking and I didn't get the sled. It went for a couple of hundred more than I bid. I think it is still a good deal but more than I was willing to spend on a sled you can't test drive. Anyways thanks again Morris for checking it out for me.

That`s too bad, it seemed ok.
One of the problems with sealed bids is you never know how high something will go for and I hate paying too much.
I suppose I could have taken it for a run around the compound but I didn`t like the idea of a life time ban....

It may have been pretty funny stuff while in the yard till I tried to leave...
The price on the Polaris isn`t bad from what you are saying but there isn`t any warranty so you have to cover your butt.

When making sealed bids you have to take into account a few more things than if you are buying from a dealer or privately, such as the history of the item you are bidding on. Some one told me once that a sealed bid should be about half to two thirds the value of the item unless you are familiar with the item. Of course that doesn't apply to everything, but I think it is a good rule of thumb to go by. It keeps you (me) from spending to much on such auctions.

thats a good idea for sealed bidding...that way you sort of have a chance at getting a deal if you win it... but with auctions ya never know anyway...

There is two taxes from SGI, PST and GST.
The damage has to be taken into account as well.
