I'm not saying that it does not. But that's an apples to oranges comparison as the blower on the 5.4L of course makes it superior to the naturally aspirated 6.2L. The 6.2L flat outperforms the N/A 5.4L in every aspect, though the F-150 outperforms the Sierra Denali just the same (in terms of towing, etc...not speed).
Since the blower isn't a standard feature on the F-150, or even optional, comparing the Harley/Lightning/Nitemare to a standard Sierra Denali is pretty ridiculous. When GM has a supercharged 6.2L pickup designed for performance, that will be a fair comparison. When Ford gets it's collective head out of it's rear and puts a decent engine and transmission with notable power in the F-150, there will be a fair comparison. Until then, it's all apples and oranges.
where are you getting 360 to the wheels
anyways trucks are IMO more important with torque since that is what launches you off the line, and trucks are heavy, so 500 TQ is nice and yes i know its less at the RW
Its obvious from your sig you're a GM fan for performance. Who cares if its apples to oranges? Do you care if the guy in the ricer beats you because he's running nitrous, or do you get embarrassed just the same? When I see a Cobra at a light I don't take him on because I'm not going to lose and then say "well, its apple to oranges because my truck weighs more." He beats me fair and square, therefore I'm going to look for better prey. Oh... the blower is an option with the F150 in the HD, and this fall in the Foose.
The people who make excuses are those looking at the other's tail-lights, not the guy looking in the mirror.

Its run what ya brung...
I know a car with a 1.3l engine (yes, its a rotary ) that is putting upwards of 1100ponies to the ground on unleaded... Do you think that it would be "unfair" if it got beaten by a blown 8.1l chevy with alky injection?
Forgive my cynacism, but I was schooled early (thanks to aforementioned rotaries).
You never grumble or complain when someone beats you (even if thier engine capacity is 6 times yours...).
You get FASTER. Borrow ideas from the competition if you have to.
So, when GM releases a supercharged Denali (and I do hear they are going too), feel free to return fire...
But in the mean time, the Blue Oval has the quickest truck - by a more than reasonable margin.
on edit - that truck looks the goods... I wonder if it could be had in flat black??? That would be cool.
A race is a race, plain and simple. You do not "grumble or complain" when you lose, unless you're too self-centered to admit that you're vehicle and/or your driving is clearly inferior to the other vehicle.
Did I ever contest that the Denali put out less power than the Nitemare? No...that's quite obvious to anyone with any sense.
But it's quite irritating that on this forum, it's fine to compare apples to oranges as long as Ford wins; however, as soon as the tables are turned and Ford falls behind GM, Dodge, or any of the imports in any aspect, it's immediately blasphemy to so much as think it could be inferior. No different than any other forum out there sadly.
probably 'cause it's FORD Truck Enthusiasts... not dodge, not chevy, etc.
who gives a rip about the sierra denali - we are talking about the roush nitemare. why these topics ALWAYS seem to be a "well, gmc does it better 'cause..." bs is beyond me. We're sitting here arguing about who makes the better truck when we should be looking at the damned ford and talking about that.

Checked out the Ford vs. Competition forum lately?
^^ exactly... that's what I'm getting at... we have a spot dedicated to bowtie lovers and the such where they can argue until they are blue in the face. last time i checked this was the light/hd/roush section... use that for your "facts".. maybe i'm just trying to be "fair and proper"...
i think that the truck looks great. can't wait to see one and maybe even test one
