I laso may get a small boat. the 2003 has around 44000 miles and the 05 has around 39000 miles. I dont know what to do. Ive had many arguments with my wife about the purchase the 03 does sit up a little more than i want but

the place i wold buy the 03 from wants 21900 and the place for the 05 wants around 22,000.

I would have to say that if you were ever going to think to put a plow on a truck then you would definetely want to go with the superduty. My personal preference would be to take the Superduty Lariat over a F150 XLT. I like the extra comforts inside that the Lariat offers.

the superduty is a gasoline powered truck
so either way the two trucks get bout the same gas mileage

If you are going to get a plow - you will want the Super Duty (is it a V10 or a 5.4?)

Having said that... the F150 is a much nicer truck to ride in, and will get better mileage.

Have you driven both of them yet?

Like previous posters mentioned, if your getting the plow the Super Duty is the way to go. Is the F150 a 4.6 litre or a 5.4 litre? If you are going to be towing anything over 5000#'s I would strongly suggest the 5.4 in the F150.

When you say "add a plow," do you mean you'll be plowing driveways and parking lots for a living, or you'll just plow your own drive way? If it's a commercial business, then you should be looking at the 250. If you're just gonna push some snow to the road a couple times a year (your profile says you're in MD, so it's not like you're snowed in eight months of the year, like us Western New Yorkers...) with a small, lightweight plow, then the 150 is the way to go. It will tackle your driveway easily, and the wife will be much happier with step-in height, ride, quiet, etc... Just one thing: DON'T ever let her drive it. Once she gets used to the size and feels how nice it handles, trust me- you'll never get it back!
