Has anyone put a Catback kit from a 2003 on a 2005??? There is limited catback kits for the 05' and Borla has an 03' kit that I think will work. Anyone tried this yet? I am having my ford dealer cross reference the exhaust parts from an 03 - 05 to see if they are different.
The Magnaflow I have on it has a horrible drone. The exhaust sounds great but the drone is enough to drive you crazy. I even had a muffler shop put a resonator on it which did not help.

As far as I know they should be the same .. just the air ride may have a different muffler system. 03-05 have both the same rear end style (irs) so it should not be a problem.
By the way what are you doing w/ you cat back from magna flow???
The dealer got back to me and told me the exhaust on an 05' is different than an 03' and most 04's. He said they changed around 5/04. I don't want to spend $500.00 findng out if the Borla will go on. I am pretty sure it will, but can't return it if it doesn't. I guess I'll put the stock pipe back on with the Flowmaster until I know for sure if the Borla will fit or they come out with a kit for the 05's. I already cut the Magnaflow muffler out and put on a different muffler to see if the drone would go away. No such luck, must be the 3" pipe causing the bad drone. The Borla kit comes with smaller pipe and a resonator.
Thanks for the replies.
The Magnaflow kit isn't much use to anyone now. The muffler shop has cut it up trying to get rid of the drone. If anyone is interested in the 3" mandrel bent pipe let me know.
