Looking for a little direction with a weird steering problem--
This started a couple of weeks of all of a sudden. As I drive down the road the steering will pull to the right as if in a strong crosswind. I have to keep pressure on the steering wheel to keep it going straight. However, if I pull a hair too much, it will pop to the other side and I have to do the reverse.
A couple additional thoughts-
The tires & pressure are fine--have had them for less than 5000 miles.
The steering wheel freeplay is minimal.
I figure it must be the steering pump or the steering gear. Where should I start looking and is there a good way to test each component?
