Going to school part-time for Mechanical Drafting. Working full-time as a Structural Draftsman at a local engineering firm. Will be 2 years come November. Good pay, lots of vacation and perks. Draftings not my thing. I've developed an intrigue in farming these last few years and. . .well I'd like to try my hand as a Bee Keeper. You know, selling honey and wax products, and renting hives to farmers for pollination. . .but I don't think the family or neighbors would think kindly of me setting up a 6 or so hives in our backyard in the middle of DownTown Virginia Beach
In school for Automotive Technician (not one "UTI or Wyo-tech" but a local tech college that offers an awsome program). Working 40hrs a week at a garage doing lube and quickservice jobs.
I'm an Axle Surgeon. I replace spindles on trailer axles and drive axles after they have been damaged, either from an bearing going down on them or perhaps from an accident. I've done everything from F250's to a 50 ton Euclid.

That Sir, is one of the slickest things I've ever seen in almost 30 years of turning wrenches.

It took axle surgeons over 30 years to get to where they are today. Like anything else out there, unfortunately there are some copy cats out there. If you are ever in need for one, they have a national dispatch number (877) FIX-AXLE, and I encourage everyone to use it. That way they are sure to get someone that is trained, certified, using axle surgeon parts, and have the required liability insurance covering their work. We also do a lot of other work that people wouldn't necessarily associate with axle surgeons. The home page is axlesurgeons.com
Right now I'm a pipe welder, getting my Associates of Applied Science in welding as well, then I have plans to possibly get into auto body or automotive related and quite possibly become a teacher and apply all that I know to helping the youth of my area succeed in life, too many going down the wrong path IMHO.
I got a job with my uncle who is a carpenter and ones his own business. I will basically be working on weekends during the school year and full time in the summer
I got laid of a few months ago. They are going to to re-hire me hopefully by April, so until then I'm working 50 hours a week on my parent horse farm and doing handy man jobs to keep the money coming in. I'm actually making as much money now as when i was working full time, but it is not a guarenteed pay check. I have three houses lined up to to interior painting.
