column drop

Looking for ideas of making my own column drop. Anyone fabricate their own or what are you using?

I saw one that was made from a connecting rod and a main bearing cap........thought that was pretty neat.

You may want to look at my gallery. My column drop is also a small lower dash panel.

I also fabbed one that blends well with the dash. Pics in my galley. It was real easy to make.

I'm using one from an early 50s ****** wagon. It is a perfect fit with the BroncoII column.

I have the connecting rod column drop in my '53. These are pretty easy to make and you can usually find connecting rods from a machine shop for pretty cheap.

Google JEGS and enter column drop in their search function and they show about a dozen choices. These may give you a idea to copy. Have a great day, chuck
