i have rust over the rear fender on my bed and it's getting worse i need to find a cheap way to fix it and still make it look good. i haven't had too much experience with bondo but what i've seen is that it cracks over time any suggestions?
Chilton and Haynes manuals often have body repair info in them and they are available at any parts store. We also have a paint and bodywork forum here with TONS of information and many experts.
Please be aware that Rust and bodywork topics are best posted in the FTE bodywork forum.
That's why it was created
This topic doesn't have a thing to do with 73-79 trucks ...it is a Body work topic.
Try to stay away from using a large amount of bondo. Its good for small cracks along seams. Go along with the LMC advice, i think you can get it for as low as 25$ even. once you get that peice in, you can put bondo along the seam.
