TMI's first 400 Build.

On Tim's first 400 build, he mentioned he used a comp cams custom grind. I just purchased aussie heads and I'm looking to replicate his setup (w/edel. perf.) since I am going for the same figures w/ pump gas, about 385-390 hp and 450 foot pounds. What were the cam specs, lift, duration. Thanks ~Josh

Tims sells the complete kit that you need cheaper than elsewhere. I think the complete master rebuild kit with pretty much every nice option you need to include plug and play aussie heads will be under 1500.00. I bought all the stuff seperate and watched for deals and had quite a few problems with fit. I still paid $1150+ for the heads - ready to install- and thats putting them together myself. I wanted to save as much as i could and saved very little...not enough for the hassle...not even close.

This next build will likely be without the aussie heads but will use a kit with his kb pistons. I bet i'll lose about 50hp or so.

I bought that project engine. Very happy with the engine, Tim. along with his info an smarts! Great place for parts too!

Talk to Tim, you start chasing parts and try to figure what you want, you'll wasted bunches of time an $. Tim will steer you straight an make sure you get what you want. Not sure where you are at with your build. Tim has great deals on the short blocks ready to go. Not only you getting the right parts for your application but you also have his experience high quailty workmanship!

I had a 400 with aussie's that was sorta like the project engine. Built back in the 80's or 90's and was wore out. Cheaper to buy the project engine then rebuild mine to make it right. Oil pressure is great and Tim does the right maching an tech for that (one of problems with old engine)

Tim supports this site, has want you need for your build, seems like great reasons to support him!
