'nuther 511 update...Holy crap!

Well, I got my front ring and pinion in, and took the ol' girl out for a spin. After the appropriate warmup, I pulled her into 4 wheel drive, and tagged the throttle. Wow! She ran a 1.83 second 60' time. That is a full second quicker than my other run. Let me just tell you guys, a 1.83 60' will blur you vision when you aren't used to it. It was actually a little scary. I'm going to download my meter to see if I got a 0-60mph time or anything else. I was basically just making some launches in first gear to see if it would break anything, so there might not be anything else to show yet.

I am very happy so far.

I didn't really expect to do it. It just happened. I'll get some video of the next launches. I downloaded my runs to the computer, and they were all in the 1.8's for 60' times. I stayed in one run long enough to get a 330' time of 5.54, but I don't know if I was still at full throttle when I got it, so I'll have to see what happens next time.

Your 60ft is quite impressive for a 4wd truck! My wagon goes 1.53. My fuzzy memory can't place your 330 ft numbers. It really depends on how it's set up to if it pulls harder up top or down low.

Definitely NOT a slouch though!! Great street machine to play with cars.

I finally figured out how to read some of the info from my performance meter and got a shock. When I posted my 5.54 second 330' time I had been off the throttle and decelerating for 1.5 seconds. Now I can't wait for good weather again so I can go get an 1/8 mile time.

Cool, but would it make it to the 1/8th or 1/4 with-out running out of RPM?

I don't know about the 1/4, but in the 1/8 I should just be shifting to 3rd at the stripe. Hopefully I'll find out for sure this weekend.

Scoot, I think you'll have plenty of gear!! The EA3 D has me shifting into 3rd t 220ft..and going thru the traps at 6770rpm....and thats running a 4:88 gear but with much shorter tires than you have...

Yeah a 1.5 launch is real hard for those tall tires you have..So that tells me..your combo is working s planned , and making a chit load of Tq !!

Thumbs up Bro !

Brian, I know where your coming from....I was just telling larry in an email that I went to the track last weekend, and ran a buds stang...he runs 11.30 with it..and my first pass off the trailer was an 11.37...LOL...and he wanted the keys back from me...LMAO!

Thats a small block ..and is not a tq monsterby any means..But still was fun...I'am still waiting for the guy to get back to me on the 9" locker rearend that has the disc brakes on it? I'am almost beginning to wonder if he was full of chit and it was a hustle?

But I guess I'll find out and make an *** out of him in the forum if he's not straight up about it!!

RJ...where's my beer or my BJ!!! LOL..Oh Sandi !! Honey!! LOL
