I am not sure about SD, i know it does with MAF. Kemical will know though.

Check these mufflers out...www.sweet-thunder.com...they sound very cool and breathe good

Kemical.....after i get my new motor built it will have between 450 and 600, depending on a few different directions i could go. What injector's should I go with.

OK, here we go, you guys are forcing me to go back a ways, but this should be correct, and seems to be in line with my build:

The easy formula is:

HP = cc per minute / 5
HP = lbs per hour x 2.04

This is per injector, and is a theoretical max.

So, my 21lb injectors can only make a max of 343HP according to the formula. I may consider 24lbs now that I am adding mass air, but while I am no real tech guy, I know that once you start getting into the larger injectors, you neeed to think about fuel regulators etc.

The actual formula to determine your required injector size is:

Fuel requirement in lbs./hr = (Max HP x BSFC) / (number of injectors x
duty cycle)

You plug in the desired HP
High compression 0.45 to 0.55 = BSFC
0.85 = duty cycle limit.

Will probably see a larger injector from this formula.

Again, I'm no engineer. The "seat of the pants" dyno I have justifies my Bronco's HP at at least 340+hp. I run with all trucks except Lightnings and blowers. This is not off the line, which I will not do. My truck feels stronger than 345hp.....When I finish the mass air, (within 1-2 weeks) we will get it on a dyno and check it out and report back... Any input would be appreciated, 'cause I sure would like to think that I am making more HP than I am with the stout build I have......

evilhorde, for your build stock 19lb injectors are fine. and dont think sd is a bad thing. most lightning owners love sd and make great power with it. the stock sd ecu's dont understand anything larger with out a tweecer tune for instance so the benefit is really not there just like pumping up the fuel pressure, stock sd just doesnt know what your doing. Now on MAF its a different story because that system measures incoming air and this will determine fuel needs more accuratly. www.fordfuelinjection.com discuses this. also when you select injectors you need to determine the duty cycle they will run at. if your running say 30lb injectors at more then 80% duty cycle you probably should bump up to 36lb injectors. there is a formula for this to but i cant find it. Jesta has the other formula correct i think , looks right anyway.
Jesta the seat of the pants feel your getting is probably torque over HP ya know.
