Bigger injectors and a bigger turbo couldn't hurt to get more power, of course, your goin to need to get something that can custom program for you to account for that, to my knowledge the Edge can't do that.
the edge has given me an additional 100hp at it's top end... i am happy with it. are you saying the chip is most definately the NEXT thing to do.
Edge is nothing but a sensor modification to certain things.. SCT is a complete computer rewrite.. With an SCT you can get custom tunes developed specifically for your vehicle that will adjust every aspect of the engine and transmission.. I haven't had the opportunity to test my truck against a 6L with the Edge but my buddy has a 7.3L Edge w/Attitude and he doesn't stand a chance with me.. He's also got a 4" Lift and 35" tires.. With a good custom tune the SCT will blow out the Edge any day of the week.. Gauranteed! The SCT is the proven choice for the 6L whether its the Xcal or the Livewire.. I run the Livewire, have been since it was released.. Few quirks here but its getting hammered out and I'm pleased.. The SCT also allows you to monitor the PIDs from the Engine Computer.. For instance I watch Coolant Temp, Intake Temp, Injector Pulse Width and VGT..
Also FYI, the SCT will download your factory computer and store it on the SCT. You can always revert back to the factory. It isn't a shift on the fly tho like the Edge.. Once you program the PCM its in.. I've seen gains in MPG and Performance..
what about injectors? should I go bigger? I mean, rather than junking the Edge I just picked up a month ago, I would rather start on another project and come back to possibly replacing the edge at a later date
Of course.. You can always go that route.. Honestly though if your serious about bigger turbo, injectors, etc.. You really need ARP Headstuds.. The factory studs will stretch and break the gasket seals.. Thats my next mod before I go massive custom tuning with the livewire..
If I was you, I would do ARP Studs, then Injectors, then bigger Turbo..

The Edge will be useless when you get bigger injectors. To go with bigger injectors or a new turbo, you have to be able to have a custom written program.
I had the Edge Platinum when I first got my truck and switched to the SCT xCal2 just before switching to bigger injectors and I can tell you the SCT with a custom tune will smoke an Edge truck.

THANK YOU!
Does the happy dance.. Does the happy dance..

Ok for real tho 6L is right.. Anything beyond the factory injectors or turbo, the factory computer can't handle it.. You need the SCT that can be custom written to modify variables for those larger injectors/turbo's..
BTW
I am running some new custom tunes that are yielding me 0-60s in 8 seconds.. Not bad for a 4.5" lift and 35's with the 3.73 rear end gears
Now when I was without my lift my tunes were doing 0-60s in 6 and 7 seconds depending on how much weight I had in my truck and fuel..
I 've got a 6'' lift with w/ 36'' tires and did 0-60 in 6.9 with the Edge.... but, I will definately check out this chip you guys are talking about if in fact I go with new injectors.
