You have a 6" lift.. 36" tires.. Your rear end gears are? Sorry but I find that hard to believe you did 0-60 in 6.9s with the Edge.. We need more specs..

Ok.. Lets see.. You have an 04 which means you have the digital cluster.. I am going to say that for certain your odometer and speedometer are severly off.. The Edge from my understanding doesnt have a 0-60 Timer like the SCT has.. Your rear end is probably a 3.73 with 36" gives a final around 3.40 or 3.45 (est).. Now if you calculated your 0-60 with a stop watch and a friend saying GO.. Then your time is WAY off.. My SCT can recalibrate my speedometer and odometer within 2 miles of actual speed (tested it last night)..

It's not a matter of whos and whats.. We don't take kindly to far fetched stories around here.. I'm simply saying, prove it.. Because our experience in the 6L and products of all sorts.. Your setup would not pull 6.9s 0-60s without a better rear end gear and some more power that the edge isn't producing.. You say the edge is 100hp on top.. You lost about 35% of that with your lift and tire size..

Plain and simple.. Do as you wish.. Just don't come far fetched with us..

Actually storm... it is calibrated to my tire size and the speed is shown right on my EDGE monitor.... monitor says stop... then go, and sends a warning sound when sixty seconds is up. Thats too bad yours is off a second or two... mine is right on. In addition to my 0-60 timer it has a turbo protector which prevents the motor from shutting down until the egt reaches 400 degrees.... I don't think your as educated in the Edge Juice w/ Attitude as you think you are.

Some places you don't have to go thru emissions, i'm sure that will change for all states in 2010, some counties you don't have to go thru emissions unless your in the city, out in the sticks no matter if your driving a car or truck you don't have to get tested. I don't have to go thru emissions but it is due to the weight of my truck. I would like to say that if your goal is strictly hp then your best bet is to go with aftermarket turbo and bigger injectors, however one note on the injectors is that you do sacrifice a little on reliablility of the engine depending on how YOU handle that new power(now I'm not saying your doomed if you go with bigger injectors, so don't fly off the handle I know people that have DD with bigger injectors and their trucks are sounder then the newer ones, but they also drive with an educated foot versus others with the bigger injectors). In my case, I will be doing the turbo, but not the injectors(now I won't get the full benefit of the bigger turbo, but my main goal is not hp figures), so just as a side note on the injectors if your wanting this to be your daily driver as well as a dragstrip monster. Same thing actually with choosing a turbo, you go too big your truck won't have street manners.

Lol.. Wow.. You got a timer and a safety shutdown.. Thats awesome.. I got that too.. Called my Viper Alarm..

Get smart with me if you want.. I could careless.. I'm not the only one who'll charm in here in a second and call your bluff.. So do as you wish partner.. There's no way a "Chip" is pulling you in at 6.9s.. Sorry.. Unless you take a photo of that device after it.. I won't believe you.. Let alone few others around here..

To each its own..

FYI, the SCT is NOT a "Chip" it is a "tuner" that completely re-writes the PCM and TCM strategies.

The Edge, Banks, Dr. P Predator are in-line fuel module chips and only alter fuel strategy downstream of the PCM. They do not address the TCM for the added Hp & Torque.

With the Edge or any in-line "chip" fuel device, you will have transmission problems sooner rather than later and the heads will lift.
This is a proven fact many times over with the 6.0.

If you are going to keep the Edge, then head gaskets and ARP studs are your first addition. Also understand that you are going to have transmission issues until you install a "tuner" to properly address them.

One other thing, lose the A/M intake, as it will only cause problems with increased wear and tear on the turbo & engine, do to its poor filtering abilities.

The factory Donaldson system is the best filtering system on the market and flows more air than the 6.0 can use until you exceed 500+ Hp.

Use the search function as there is a ton of information on the SCT, intakes and performance mods to the 6.0. All of your questions will be answered in the previous posts.

Get in contact with Matt at LIPD ( www.lidiesel.com ) they are FTE sponsers, and Matt is the leading performance guru for the 6.0.

Hope this helps
