Does anyone know if you can easily replace the standard electric mirrors with heated glass and swap them with the powerscope mirrors? I wasn't sure if the wiring is there already and you could just add the mirrors and controls. How nice would that be. Plug and play woulld be great, but knowing FORD, they probably have 5 different wiring harnesses for these trucks.
so with job 2 offering the powerscope mirrors on xlt models, does any body know if job 1 trucks have the powerscope wiring on manual mirrors? not sure I want to take my doors apart yet.
Power scope mirrors are available on XLT's now. You just have to get the TrailerTow package.
For those of us who could not wait and bought their trucks before the new updates take effect in july, you can only get the powerscope mirrors on FX4 and LARIAT models. I have an xlt that I would love to retrofit powerscope on.
Sorry, I stand corrected. I didn't have a brochure with me here at work. Thought that the power scope came with all trucks with Tow Command. I now see that they are manual extend and fold on XLT.
I love my powerscope mirrors. What you talkin bout them bein overrated willis?
I got to agree. They're one of my favorite parts of the truck. I was in my buddy's 07 Chevrolet 2500 HD and he forgot to extend the mirrors for the trailer we were pulling. Not a huge deal but kinda weird to be hanging out the window manually extending the mirrors while you're going down the road. He is definitely jealous of my power telescoping mirrors and can't figure out why chevrolet doesn't offer them as an option.
