From what I have gathered, they take your old pedestal and install the kit mentioned above. So, if your bore is scored and they don't notice it, well, it will still leak. If your bore is fine and the seals are bad, the kit will fix it. In my case, the bore was bad so the kit didn't work. Also the next pedestal had a leak and the next one worked.

I'd check International. Tell them you need a repair kit for a leaking pedestal before I go to the Fraud Dealership. They might be able to sell you the thing. I noticed International had their Destructions in the box.
Ok, I have decided to go the poor boy route. I removed the EVBP actuator piston from the bore in the pedistal. Sealed the rod end of the hole with a bolt, nut and sealant. Gutted the EVBP flapper and rod from the turbo. Installed and welded into place a 1/2 inch rod plug in the open end of the housing. I will leave the solenoid unplugged and if I have trouble with codes, I will put an 11 ohm resistor across the contacts in an effort to fool the PCM. Now I need to put this thing back together.
