New Pics Posted!

Hey guys I have been doing some work on my Webshots this morning for some good sensor locations and a few other things. Check them out and make some suggestions for other common need to know locations. I am going to try to snap some pics under the valve covers and front of the engine on a core engine I have laying around too. But your suggestions are welcome.

I also added pics of my bypass filter.

I was looking at those a few minutes ago and found the frantz filter you are using very interesting. Does it just supplement the factory oil filter? If so I would imagine you have to get the flow just reigh since the pressure will go the path of least resistance. Interesting, T.P. huh?

The frantz is added with the stock filter. The bypass should take no more than 10% of the flow. These engines pump a lot of oil so it shouldn't be a problem. the TP is very dense so there can't be alot of flow thru it. if your interested I have a few links you can check out.

the tensioner is a ford TSB part. then it uses the same belt as the superduty 7.3. Unfortunately is didn't solve my problem so it was a waste of money.

I work in the nuclear industry and we have always been taugh in case of emergency and if no respirator is available then 4-6 layers of good T.P. is close to a HEPA filter. Never seen it used for oil. It seems that it would fall apart like it does when you pee on it in the bowl... unless you use scottissue aka sand tissue. LOL.

I don't know the TSB number off hand. I think I have it printed out in my tool box at the shop. The problem was I kept shredding 1 rib off my belt. all the bearings where good and all the pulleys lined up but it would jump one rib off then cut that rib off. So i just let it ride minus one rib after doing that repair.

TSB-tech service Bulletin

The tp I am using is Scott 1000. single ply really no good for wiping your butt but it will filter oil!

Here is a good site to check out the FAQ. Its for Motor Guard filter but they use TP also.
http://www.bypassfilter.com/

Also here is a good oil forum
http://theoildrop.server101.com/forums/ubbthreads.php
they have a section just for bypass filters

I would get 0-100. I don' think it will normal run over 80 but it could when cold.
