Alternator?? I'll bet if you drive it much longer your batteries will be dead. If you have a hand-held volt meter, you should see about 14V with the truck running and a little over 12 when you shut it down...
a trickle charge is a 2 or 3 amp charge. I just put a new alternator on mine and it was the easiest I have ever done, if you have never had the belt off the tensioner is a 1/2 in square between the 2 little pulleys on the left as you are looking at it. please fill out your sig.
