Hello everyone,
Haven't posted in a while but reading daily! I do have a ? At 40mph and 70mph my 98 expy seems to drag... it seems to lose engine power and shudders until I am out of that speed, even 5 mph past it, I have to push through to 75 or 45 and then it runs fine. Does anyone know what Im talking about? I may or may not be making any sense
Also, in a passing situation when I need her at full acceleration, pedal to the floor type situation (we live in Germany) it holds back and there seems to be a click click click coming from the engine. Any ideas? I just love this place you all are so helpful! Hubby works on helicopters... sometimes I wish he worked on trucks!

how many miles on your truck? How long since new plugs and service?
have you had it checked for codes?
The speed might be less important than the RPM's that you are turning...sometimes a missfiring plug or a bad COP on a plug will only be really annoying at specific RPM ranges.

thank you for your response. Our truck has 164,000 miles We love it! Had the heater core replaced twice (out again) and had the tranny rebuilt two years ago. I'm sure it needs new plugs. Will take it in and see what happens just bought an 04 and can't wait to get it. Dealer from the states has shipped it over for us! I LOVE the expys... so far. Wish us luck with our new one!
