Unhappy Air Pump

The air pump on my 95 F-150 4x4 makes it sound like a diesel. Can I remove this air pump without causing other problems? I know I will have to have another belt, does anyone know what I need? I only need the belt number if I can remove it without problems. It is a F-150, 1995 with 15000 origional miles. 302 -5 speed 4x4. Also power adders that work(and also may help fuel milage) would be welcome advice. Thanks!!!

I switched my 300i6 to a shorter belt and pluged the holes in the head with no ill0effects. With the belt off and being mindful of the direction of rotation of the pullies wrap an old belt around them and tape them so they hold the size your looking for. Take the taped belt to your helpful automotive store and let them measure it, subtract a little for good favor and you should be set.
