I have a 86 f150, 2wd, auto, w/ the 300 carbed. I've rebuilt the engine, and transmission after it was sitting for 2 years. It seems I've replaced everything.
Here is my problem. It has issues starting. Obviously because its sitting, and hasn't been able to drive and use the atlernator to charge the battery, so we jump it off. However, it seems I have to pour a little gas in the the carb, just to get it to start. After that it'll stay started.
On top of this, I can't seem to get it timed correctly...is 10 degree BTDC correct?

Make sure the flapper door on top of the carb(the choke) is completely shut when you press the gas pedal to the floor once on a overnight cold engine.
