Question Accumulator/Filter Drier

can someone tell me if accumulator suppost to be cold with the ac on
i put 2 cans of 12oz in and still the accumulator is warm
and part of the evaperator side is a little cold on one side
the compressor is seems to be working
what els could it be

Wow, could you be anymore vauge. The accumlator should be cold, even more so at the bottom of it. the line coming off the evap should be cool, but not as cold as the supply. what kind of truck are you working on?, what refrigerant?, whats your pressure readings? whats the ambient temp? how much superheat do you have at the accumlator? the more info you can give us, the more we can help you.

im sorry 90 ford van e-150 50. 302 v8
r134 it took two cans thats when ac compressor clicked on
The accumlator is hooked up on one side of evaperator side is warm
and other side is cool

im sorry 90 ford van e-150 50. 302 v8
r134 it took two cans thats when ac compressor clicked on

the ac in my 93 merkery car s ac accumulator is cold when runing
the onw in my 90 ford e150 van is not cold to me i think thers something
wrong here parts of the evaporator in my van on one side is cold where
the Orifice Tube and where the accumulator is worm
