The out put side of the evaporator (to condenser) has sprung a leak.
I'm in the process of removing the evaporator. The 1 1/8" nut connecting the top of the evaporator to the accumulator is rusted (frozen no pun intended).
Can this be heated with a tourch with out causing damage. Also does the accumulator have to be replaced because the system is considered open now. With the system open there should be no pressure issues, correct?
