i agree with neal, for some reason when i first did it about two weeks ago, i noticed the idle change but couldn't feel the power change. now over the last two days or so, it feels like it's really pulling harder. it's probably in my head. i wired my mine to a switch in the dash, for what reason, i don't know, i leave it on all the time. it's fun to have another switch on the dash and have people ask what it's for.
I am going to do thie same. I sometimes tow a heavy load and since it can run your EGT's a little high and I don't have gauges yet I want to be able to turn it on and off on the fly. On when not towing and off when I am towing. Also it is nicer to have another switch. Looks like a cockpit of a high tech piece of equipment.
P.S. I have heard that you probably do want to have the aftermarket downpipe and gutted cat at least before you do this. I am not sure but someone will chime in.
no no, neal, just get the egt gauge, i need one too, just not in the budget right now, getting the truck ready for vacation which means all the normal stuff gets the money, not the mods.
