Smile Rear u-joints

Looking for some advice on the costs for replacing the u-joints on my 2003X with the 6.0 and 4 wheel drive. Just came back from the dealer $$$ who wanted I thought was too much. Any thoughts to what it should cost for replacing both on the readr drive shaft??
Thanks for any feedback

Are you gonna do it yourself?

How much did they ask?

U-joints are easy (with the right tools). Any reputable independent mechanic should do it for at least half of what the dealership wants.

It shouldn't cost much more than $50 for parts. Get ones with grease zerks.

Thanks for everyone's input, since we are on vacation I think I will just by the tools that I need, if I don't have them, and will do it myself. Autonzone will press the new one's in, so all I have to do is take off the driveshaft and purchase the new u-joints.
