Exhaust for an 87 302?
LAST EDITED ON 11-Sep-00 AT 02:14 AM (EST)[p]I have a bone stock 87 302... this must change. I have high hopes for my 4x4 badboy including a new exhaust set up. I want to replace everything from the headers to the exhaust tips with top of the line, 50 state-legal (damn, I hate that about California) preformance parts. Unfortunatly, I have had problems finding the right kit. If any of you know of an application such as the one I'm looking for, please leave me a post.
Thanks a lot!

Exhaust for an 87 302?
LAST EDITED ON 11-Sep-00 AT 03:59 AM (EST)[p]Try summit racing. They have Shorty truck headers (should fit Bronco as well) for 87-95 F-150' W/ 5.0 They run $159.99 pr.
Also they "probably" have a listing in their books for a high flow Catalytic convertor Direct fit kit or direct replacement. note: muffler shops won't install a catalytic convertor unless you buy it from them! I found out the hard way!
Mufflers depend on what you want. If you want split exit (which is what I have) Then go to a muffler shop and have them build the back half of your system. I have a 2 chamber flowmaster with a single inlet and dual outlets.
Summit also carries exhaust kits for bronco's as well. They have a Gibson kit for $279.99, a Pacesetter kit for $188.99, and a Flowmaster kit for $199.95
Now, if you want the 351 tailpipe look. Get the dual exit version of a flowmaster, and have them make up two tailpipes that exit in the stock location behind the right rear wheel!
It really depends on what you want to do.
Here's Summit's number: 1-800-230-3030
And their website is: http://www.summitracing.com
Hope this helps you along in your decision.
