I just finished installing my 6" Superlift springs and Rancho 9000's shocks. I left the front and rear swaybars loose for the moment to check out the ride quality. Now the Bronco sways back and forth excessively only in the rear. Should I reconnect the rear only and change the links to a type that I can disconnect when I am off-road. Can I drill the link bolts to install a quick disconnect pin like the ones on a tow hitch receiver pin or will drilling weaken the link bolts to much?

Hey Tim, sorry im not responding about your sway bar,im in the same boat as you. I posted last night about my '78 bronco front sway bar and hav'nt got any responses yet. I also posted on the '61 to '78 Ford trucks, still waiting there also. anyway, i was wondering how well your superlift went as far as installing it? Eventually im going to buy a lift for my Bronco, and superlift was the lift i was leaning toward. Was everything in your kit? If you order it, did you have Any problems getting it? Who did you order from? Sorry for all the questions, any help will be apreaciated. Thanks for any answers. Rob
many broncos don't come with rear sway bars. my 96 xlt didn't and it doesn't sway at all in the back. i think your lift kit is the cause of that. sounds like something may not be as tight as it could be. rear sway bars should be part of the towing package to decrease sway when towing something. now I can tell a difference in my bronco and my dad's which has a sway bar when I'm pulling my 19' Ranger bass boat.

It was fairly straight forward. Took me about 4 1/2 days. The real pain was while reaching for the bolts with the trans crossmember, I got my wrist stuck between the frame rail and cat. Had to reach for the long screw driver and pry my arm loose. Ouch! Then drilling out the radius arm brackets on the passenger side (the drivers side already had bolts) was pretty tough. I am probably going to leave the front swaybar off because of the dual Rancho 9000's on the but the rear is another story. I will be making my own links for the rear swaybar so it can be disconnected for off-roading. Make sure you have two floor jacks. Makes life a little easier. I did not but got through it. Took a little longer than I had wished. I had purchased everything from 4 Wheel Parts. They are about 12 miles from me and I have not had any problem with them so far. Had to order alot of things separately with the kit. I bought rear springs, front springs, extended radius arms, Rancho 9000's shocks, drop pitman arm, extended braided brake lines. Cost my about $1700 so far. I bought everything about 11 months ago and finally got around to working on it. Good luck on the lift. Next I install the Superrunner steering system to correct the bump steer problem that has come with the lift.

Hey Tim, thanks for the info. Theres a 4 wheel parts store walking distance from me, i asked them to price me a 9" lift and they said about $1200.00 with new rear springs. In my Petersons 4wheel & off road mag. there's an advertisement from Rocky Mountain suspension products, i looked them up on the web, at http://rockymountainsusp.com and there 9" superlift with new rear springs is right at about $900.00 not sure about shipping, but has anyone ever bought any thing from them? i'm kinda leary about buying over the net. i'm still searching for the best price so if anyone has any info, please post. Thank you. Rob
