Hey i'm glad i started this thread lol.. I know about the 02 sensor deal. I was wondering what inexpensive brand people might have used that fit well. I've always used top notch stuff in my other muscle cars, but not going that route with this truck.
ECO, I am planning on installing a set of long tube Hooker pn 6912-1hkr on my 94 F150 with the 351. I am interested in the egr eliminator kit you mentioned. What does it consist of?
Maybe mine is like it is supposed to be then. Thanks a lot for your input. I have a question on the forum now about my air pump and would value your input. Thanks, Second Chance

This is what I did...1) Remove the EGR valve and install a block off plate in it place 2) Remove the EGR valve position sensor and install a resistor in it's place that lets the computor know that no EGR is flowing 3) Remove the tube that goes from the lower intake manifold to the EGR valve and install a threaded plug in it's place...BTW I removed that tube without removing the plenum. 4) Remove the green vacuum line and block it off at the plenum vacuum tree with a rubber cap 5) Remove the EGR solenoid and leave the electrical plug disconnected 6) Remove the black vacuum line that was hooked to the EGR solenoid and the vacuum reservoir that the other end of the black vacuum line connects to.
The only bad thing about going the inexpensive route is, how cheap do you go before you end up with a crap product that you have problems with or have to replace all the time, doesnt end up being so cheap then. I have heard that summit headers have problems sealing, but I havent used them, that is second hand info so take it with a grain of salt.
Hey Guys, I'm second chance. I got this name because I went to a body shop to do some custom work on a car and saw this old black cab and chassis sitting on the other side of the shop. The owner said he bought it in 95 going to rebuild it and lost intrest. I bought it.It is a 95 ford f-150 with 11500 origional miles. It is a XLT and 4x4. I have spent the last 8 months redoing the truck. It turned out great. I love the truck except for the horse power and the fuel milage. I am an x Dodge man and from what I am seeing so far the 318 magium gets better fuel milage and would pull my truck in half. Can you guys help me? or do I half to figure it out on my own. Thanks

Thats OK, I figure the folks on here have tried a lot of things and would know which ones would do what they say they will and which ones are just extra weight. A lot of systems have a "weak link" (i.e fuel system mods, ign.mods) and the best results are gained by starting with them

Seems like the most popular (and with most success stories) performance mods on this forum include:
-free flowing exhaust (including hi-flow cats or no cats)
-K&N intake
-electric fan
-regearing the diffs
-roller rockers
-RV cam
-headers
