Im thinking about buying a new rear bumper. Someone is selling tough country rear bumpers on ebay. He is an ebay store and the price is right. Tough country only makes superduty bumpers (F-250 and F-350 bumpers). I was wondering if the 250/350 from 99 to 04 would fit on the Excursion. If they do, that means this aftermarket tough country bumper would work.
Umm, I dunno about the exact fit, but I would check on 2 things...
1) make sure you can mount the backup sensors on the new bumper (if you have them)
2) It looks like the new tough country bumpers take the place of the reciever hitch. If this is the case, I would be weary b/c then the trailer would tie into the bumper brackets, not directly into the frame, which would seem to be less secure (i think) (if that is a problem, I dunno for sure)
The excursion one. I don't think the guy on ebay sells the excursion one. He sells the 250/350 one. My question is would the 250/350 one fit on the Ex? He is selling on the first pic.
I just visted tough countrys website and i didnt know they made running boards.
I have the delux on my 250. It is def. badazz. Much better gound clearance than stock bumper and hitch. The delux mounts BOTH to the bumper mounts AND the hitch mounts. It's rated at 16k pounds. The only thing i don't like about it is the stinger/ball mounts have to be the extended length ones. If you have a lift, and need a drop, it's tuff to find one over 6 inches of drop. I did find a 10 inch drop hitch/ball mount, but had to drill an additional set of holes.
