What's the difference between the 5 liter engine they have in the Bronco's and the 5 liter they put in the Mustangs? Aside from the different intake manifolds... Are all the mustangs roller cams... Why couldn't I use a Mustang 5.0 in my Bronco as a replacment? I plan on building it up, performer cam, performer heads, headers, new chip, K&N filter...
As far as I know, just go for it man. You will have to match the cam curves to your Bronco's type of PCM, and, you could use flat hyd. tappets in the roller cam block (I think I'm correct on this?),or, put a roller cam that is compatible with the truck PCM. And as always, you could go to a MAF system.

Yo,
Try Summit for the last (so they say) of the 5.0 blocks from Ford Racing for broncos, f 150's etc.
BTW, my 96 Bronco 5.0 and e40d has the MAF set-up, w/rollers, etc.
will cost a lot when adding the comp, wiring harness, sensors, correct oil pan, etc tho.
Ford racing also has these engines.
I think the difference between the mustang 5.0 and the Bronco 5.0 is that the Bronco 5.0 was built for the low end power and torque for when going off-road. the Mustang 5.0 was built more for speed and performance. It could be possible to put the Mustaang 5.0 intake manifolds on the current Bronco 5.0.
