I have a 2005 Ranger STX. According to the brochures I nabbed when I bought the truck it was said to be "Bright Red". I went to the dealership the other day to buy some touchup paint and was given a bottle of "Vermillion". Does anyone know if these colors are the same?
i didn't want to make a new topic, but i have a 97 ranger, and on the door sticker where the paint code is supposed to be...it's blank. how do i find out what the code is?
That's odd...is the rest of the tag filled out properly? Hopefully one of the other guys has some experience with this, as I've never seen a tag of any make that didn't have every slot filled.
I could maybe understand why the paint code would be blank if in your case it were a fleet truck that's just a generic white. I'm probably wrong though because I have no idea what you drive without you telling us.
Here's a pic of my trucks ID tag. The breakdown article on the website here doesnt look like my 94's does. The information is located in different places. My paint code is UA or black in other words.
ooh, i was looking in the wrong spot, whoops! another site told me to look to the right of "exterior paint colors"
well where yours says "UA" mine says "SH" and then there's some space, and then it says "BA"
it's a 1997 ranger XL regular cab, green with tan trim, so i'm assuming the two different terms are for the two different colors. i just need to know the specific code of the green part.
Well I'd assume that the Primary color (green) would be the first one mentioned "SH" then the secondary color being "BA" the tan. But just call like O'reillys or CarQuest and ask them which is which. They deal with auto paint.
