Dual CCV Mod ?????????

With all this information that I have seen about crank case back pressure, my mind started wandering. Would it be beneficial in any way to vent the passenger side along with the drivers side??
To me, it would seem two CCVs would reduce any back pressure that might build compaired to only having one. What do you guys think?

My idea for this is to pick up a non-ratcheting oil cap, drill the top of it big enough for a 5/8 rubber grommet and stick a 90 degree 5/8 hose fitting in it. The rubber grommet will alow the cap to still turn, so taking the cap on and off should not be a problem.

Do you have that much pressure? If so, something should be looked into. I think it would be ok to have one since the pressure would equalize.

Where at in your exhaust system did you dump that vent off into?

Thats how i was gonna setup my tube into the pipe. If you do it that way it creates a venture effect and helps pull that out the pipe with the exhaust gases. I still like the dual CCV mod though. You could tie both lines into a tee and run just one main line out the back. That'd help equalize each side out

But doesn't it already equalize itself because of the fact that the right head has passages to the left as it stands?

Being that I'm at the "better" part of that statement .
Most performance engines use dual CCVs. Just wondering if there is a benefit to it over a single. Diversity, in case one gets partially clogged, comes to mind.

So you say.

Seriously, what you say does make sense. I suppose you could run both to around the same place in the exhaust to make it work. Maybe install another "doghouse" on top of the right VC? Or get another left VC and have a port to install oil?

Unless I've got your name mixed up with someone else, I believe I measured your CC pressure at Smokin and found it to be rather high (3" to 5" H2O just revving the engine a little with no load), compared to Tenn (0.5" doing a similar test) who has a hose that vents directly to the atmosphere. Based on that, I'm pretty sure that your exhaust is actually backing up into the CC instead of helping to vent it by producing a vacuum effect.

I posted the measurements on my truck here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/609000-towing-report-with-dp-tuner-ccv-mod-and-cc-pressure-gauge.html and Guzzle posted about the typo on his CCV which he's corrected, and his measurements confirm the X4 increase in CC pressure from no load to full load, which implies you might be as high as 20" H2O under load!

I posted here (#43) https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/607368-disconnecting-the-ebp-sensor-isnt-a-good-idea-3.html About my peak at Jody's twin CCV. "If anyone's interested in some other under his hood observations, I noticed he has twin CCV hoses, one from the doghouse, and one from the oil filler tube. He says he's tried the Racor CCV and like me removed it when all the problems with it surfaced. He also tried the exhaust, and finally went to his twin setup to minimize his CC pressure."
