suspension help

my 1994 4wd 4.0 ranger needs new shocks all around... I figured while I was at it I would lift it either 2" or 4". a slight problem is $$$ or my lack thereof.. I have the high-rise ranger and I would like to see it leveled out a little bit more. the front seems too low.. I ride a lot of off road as well as a lot of highway-- 360 miles to college. I dont want to spend too much, and I dont want to have the lift hurt the way the tires wear. I am lookiong for suggestions.. my main desires are to level out the truck (make the front level with the back, or at least closer), give it a little better ride for offroad (handling and comfort) all without harming its highway performance.. should I just get leveler sprigns and heavy duty off road shocks? or should I get a suspension lift kit? I looked at the skyjacker 2" and its abiout the right price I am willing to spend. .the 4" skyjacker is a little costly for me... thanks for your help...

IF you cank your torrsion bar up front then you can level out your truck really nicely.
Since you do drive alot, you might not won't to go to big on tires, so a lift wouldn't be the best choice.

IF you level it out you could fit 30" tires easily, and 31s would fit too.

What size tires are you wanting to run.

isn't that truck still a coil sprung front end? I think it was right up to 97. I think even the 2x4's were this way. O dont think the had torsion bars until after 97.
You mentioned the 'skyjacker kit', and that is as inexpensive as it gets. About $200.00 with AAL's and new springs up front.
The only other option is a coil spring spacer, but that it so cheesy.

it already has stock p265/75R15's on it... will a levelr srpring do the trick? ther skyjacker kit with shocks is about $675-700, or there is a 4" trailmasteter kit for $650 with shockc... will a suspension kit actullay be worth the investment, or should I get just the leveler spring a a good set of shocks.. this truck is in great running shape too.. only 65000 miles on her...
