Thumbs up Wheels and tires fit!!!

I was really worried about fitting a set of Moto Metal 955's, 18x9 with 4.5" backspacing on Nitto 33x13 on my stock height 05 F250 4X4 PSD.

I did as much research as I could, leaving me unsure of fitment. I ended up ordering them praying they would fit. If not I would have stored them until the lift.

Well... No rubbing at all for street driving and light Offroading.

As soon as the funds are available I am going to step up 6"'s.

Thought this might help someone in the future.

Luke

Just a question, but the Super Dutys come with tires taller than 33" from the factory. Why would you want to install a lift? I can't tell by your post if you're installing a 6" lift, or 36" tires? I realize the tires are wide, but I'm just wondering why you would install a lift if the tires fit. Or, maybe I'm reading your post wrong.

Let me see if I can find a camera here at work and I will get some pics up.

Ace, I believe the stock tire size that came on my truck was a 265-70-17. And if the tire conversion chart is accurate it measures 31.6"x10.4".

Reagrdless, The lift will be a ways out, I didnt want to spend the money on a level kit, if I new I would want 6"'s down the road.

Now that the 33's fit, I wont lift it until im ready for new tires again which will be 35's.

Do you wheels stick out of the wheel well's? I am nervous about running that offset because I don't want stone chips all up the side of my truck. But it is dang hard to find 5-6" back space wheels that look good.

yea, theres about 2" outside the wheel well. I have been down some gravel roads and the terra grapplers have not picked up nearly as much gravel as a set of Interco All Terrains did.

I made sure when exiting the gravel to take it easy on the throttle so the gravel wouldnt fly, but some still did. The step bars do an OK job of protecting the side of the vehicle. I might end up adding some fender flares, who knows?

I thought that was going to be the case. My problem is I don't have step bars or running boards to block the rocks and road grim. I guess I will have to continue my search for 5.5-6" back space weels.

I have the same sized tires on my truck floridahonky (265s). I was referring to "our" trucks having taller tires available as options. The Harley edition has 34"+ tires.

I have Husky mud flaps that work well, you might try them.

Check my gallery, I just added it. I was only able to run out real quick and snap the pic.

I am very happy with the look.

The only thing I didn't like is the front caps. They just don't pop on and off. So if you want to lock the hubs you would have to take an Alan wrench and take 3 screws out on each wheel to lock and unlock the hubs every time, A royal PITA.

So.. I took a 3.5" bit and centered it in the cap and punched it through. Now the hubs are easily accessible for 4x4.

Just so you know, 35x12.5s will fit without any lift on a 05-up super duty 4x4.

I don't think they will fit with the wider rims and 4.5" backspacing though am I wrong? I've heard they will fit with a leveling kit and rear blocks - I think for me the 35"s are a tad big... But I've changed my mind 15 times in the last month based on all these posts
