While coming home last night I got stranded on the side of the road. This is what happened. Upon startup the truck seemed to labor. Then I noticed the compressor seemed to be chugging. Soon later all of the guages dropped to '0' and the windows didn't work. Finally the engine lost power and the truck died. Am I right to think that this could all be the result of the alternator going?
I had the exact same problem the other day. For me it was the battery connection. the terminal was loose and rusted so I replace the both of them and everything is fine.
