7.3 glow plug problems

7.3 glow plug problems
I have a 93 7.3. When the engine is cold the wait to start light/ glow plug controller works and the engine starts but whe the engine is warm and is shut off for a few minutes to a couple of hours, the light nor the controller will come on and it takes alot of cranking to start. I replaced the controller but no change. What do I try next? Thanks TD
