glow plug problem

I have a 1994 f-350 7.3 IDI . the glow plugs started giving a problem a short time ago. the wait to start light comes on and then goes right out with out heating the plugs. I replaced the relay but it didn't fix the problem. when the switch is turned on the contacts in the relay keep clicking on and off. I also replaced the engine coolant sensor . the glow plugs are ok, I replaced one of them. It is hard to find a wiring diagram for the IDI engine. Is there any other control that tells the relay to engage, and for how long?

Hi farmerf1, you should post your questions in one of the site's tech forums.

Not many members read this forum which is for "Personal User Introductions".

Maybe you should check out this forum and post your question here,, Pre-Power Stroke Diesel (7.3L IDI & 6.9L) - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

Once again welcome to FTE.
