Transmission
I got a 77 F150 with a 400 V-8. 4 speed manual.
Should I try to change the fluid in the transmission or take it in to do it?
Also how important is it to get the dust boot for the clutch for daily driving.. No mudding or anything just on the road?
And can you find new dust boots or do you have to get a used one from the junkyard? Mine was mangled. Auto Value and Napa didn't have anything.

Ford no longer carries it..it's obsolete.

well i found bran new dust boot covers here http://www.dennis-carpenter.com/trucks.php. but they cost $15 plus shipping so i think i'll look at junk yards til i get the truck in working order then start restoring it. They have a lot of new parts. they also have a catalog you can order. Let me know if any of you guys already use this or are going to. take a look!
