Well I decided to give the Ford Mobile-Ease kit a try in my FX4. I have had many different kits in other vehicles, but wanted one that worked well. I can say that I am very happy with the install and the operation of the unit. It took me about 30 min to install and everything is a simple plug. The sound is very clear and people that I have talked to say it sounds great. I really think that this is something that Ford should install right from the factory. The only complaint I have is that you have to look at the phone for the call display, would have been cool if it showed up on the stereo display.
Pinestar,
I just installed a Mobile-Ease kit in my 05 Super-Duty and am not happy. It sounds great on my end, but everyone I talk to hears an echo. I think my microphone pics up the sound out of the speakers and re-broadcast there voice back to them. Where did you install the microphone?
I love the convenience of the unit, but I can't use it.
I put my mic on the overhead console, but try and turn down the volume a bit and see if it is any better. Also check the mic volume and turn it down a bit as well.
I also placed my mic on the overhead console.
I have turned down the volume on the speakers and it has helped.
How do you turn down the volume on the mic?
Thanks
