My thread was asking if people liked an aluminum flatbed or factory style bed on highboys....
So.....
A post asking for plans to build a wooden flatbed doesn't [at all] slide in there.
Like I said not a big deal, I wasn't upset or distraught in anyway, i just never have got to use the thread hijacked icon and saw a grand opportunity...
i'am trying to make the same desion myself for my 78 f-250 4x4. one cool option i have found is to use a military issue m101 trailer bed. i have been told the cab to axle distance is just right to fit most full size pickups (8ft.bed). they are well built and would look great on a 4x4 truck. a guy in florida has some listed on ebay under military vehicles for $275.00 each. these beds are slightly narrower than your cab and would leave just about enough room for exhaust stacks. add a headache rack and your in business. good luck.
