The a/c works fine when the outside temp is below about 95 degrees, above that, it takes awhile for it to start blowing even somewhat cool air. I had the system recharged about a year ago, and it did the same thing last summer after being recharged, any thoughts?
Did they find any leak on last recharge?
I know they have a liquid for checking for leaks.
From what I understand you have this liquid put in your a/c system.
And if you have any leaks you will know because the liquid is color.
I can’t remember what its call...
How is the fan clutch, does it work ok? You said you had it recharged why is that? If it had to be recharged than there must of been a leak somewhere. Hopefully they put tracer dye in the system so they can possibly use a black light to track down the leak. Fords are famous for compressor shaft seals going bad. Make sure who ever is working on it knows what they are doing. Don't let anyone put stop leak or anything like that in your AC system.
Make sure your condenser is clean (the coil in front of the radiator). Could be a bad clutch fan but sounds more like you have a leak like toolmaan said probably the shaft seal on the compressor.
