Gas mileage update

Well, as many of you know, I am always bitching about my gas mileage. Well, I just got a 2mpg increase for free!

I put a few heavy-duty cardboard boxes in the bed of my truck, and then I forgot all about them. Normally I get 220-230 miles to the tank, but I just got 285 and the low fuel light didn't even come on. So, the boxes are staying.

hmm... $500 for a tonneau or $0 for a few boxes (unlimited supply)...

Hmmm, $0 for sogy boxes you'll have to pull out every rain or around $100 for a cheap soft cover?

You would think I have to pull the out when it rains, but in the last two weeks, this area has gotten about 5" of rain. The boxes are made of heavy cardboard, so they do not fall apart or fly out. Not to mention, money is tight right now, so even $100 is not possible.
