New guy with 54
I just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Andrew. I am 23 years old, and I'm from central Washington. I have always loved the mid 50s Ford pickups and a couple months ago bought myself a 54 with no motor/tranny. So I'm looking forward to seeing your guys' trucks on here for some inspiration and I'm definitely going to appreciate all of the info I find on here.

Andrew you came to the right place for help. These guys and gals on here are the best. Looks like you have a good start. Keep us posted on you progress. You can also start a gallery on FTE. We love progress pics.

Hey...I kinda like '54 grilles.... Ugly suits me. Welcome to the site. You are gonna dig this place. No better people and absolutely no better encyclopedic knowledge of these old trucks.... If it's known, somebody here will know it already or find it.

Welcome to FTE! That looks like a nice project you've got there. There are lost of helpful folks around so don't be afraid to ask questions. Do you have a plan for your truck? Stock/modified/custom? Fill us in and we love progress pics!

wow, this site gets a lot more activity than I expected. Let's see if I can answer all the questions.
Plans for the truck... I can't get myself to restore the truck back to it's factory condition, that's just not my style. I have a sb 350 that I will be putting in it, haven't decided on a rearend yet. I'm trying to decide if I want to go through the trouble of putting a camaro front clip on it. I haven't convinced myself that it's worth it for a weekend cruiser. Interior needs to be redone, which it will probably get some simple door panels, headliner, carpet kit, and a re-wrapped bucket seat. I'll be running an air suspension, front and rear. For the wheels they will be something larger, 17 to 20s depending on what I decide but they will still have an older classy look to them.
About the grille, no idea why it has the 55 grille, but I'm not complaining.

And buying a honda was never a big mistake, just dumping a ton of money into it and having it still be slow was a mistake. I have a 98 Honda Accord as my daily driver and I love it.
