Ok every now and then i get a tool that blows me away and when i find it i like to share it with as many pepole as possible so here it is my newest tool
A 14.4V NiCid 3/8 drive cordless impact by Cornwell tools. Rated at 88 FtLbs of torque. Other compaines make these like snap on and the best you can get in them Ingersoll Rand but i went with the Cornwell brand as it was about 100.00 bucks cheaper than the IR
First of all i wasnt expecting much, Its comes with 2 batteries the gun a charger and the case it was 179.99
Well today i started ripping apart my 1951 F-1 and Holly crap this thing got the lug nuts off busted lose the 56 year old nuts holding on the rear fenders, even got one of the u bolt nuts lose that hold the axle to the springs, i never had to go for the second battery and it just hammered away.
If you havent got air tools or access to air tools get one of these they are great. everyone in my shop has one (all IR) i was the first to get a cornwell but im extremley happy with it. Its like why didnt i buy this earlier and im not sure how i surrived with out kind of tool
This is not like the plug in electric impacts from Harbor Freight or Wal -Mart this honest to god impact gun with battery pack.
You can get NiCid (cheapest) Ion Lithium and they come in 1/4 3/8 and 1/2
For those who care this is an awsome tool you should have in your arsenal.
Anybody else know anything about these tools. I went to the site ( just google the name), and they had a lot of interesting stuff ( their own brands and others. )
They claim to be a small US manufacturer, and their sales network is very limited. Wouldn't mind trying them out, but I'd like to get a few more reports.
i got mine off of the tool truck at work (cornwells truck) but im sure any IR dealer would have them or you could just run down a tool truck? not a bad idea anyway if you dont work were one comes around every week at least you can get a bussiness card and call the tool rep when you need somthing they can tell you the best place to find them.
